Plan to try fast walking three miles today.

Yummy dinner from Chef Teri last night.

Watched some killer matches on Lucha Underground last night most of which was the set up for Ultima Luch 2.

Internet is out and we won't see a tech until 7/5. Fuck them!

I can tell today will be an interesting day for me. On the way to work I had the privileged of re-enjoying all the mistakes and things I wish I had done differently where Mike and Nick are concerned. Usually that means I will be fighting off the thoughts and feelings for the majority of the rest of the day.

More often than not I believe the cause of such things to be supernatural. Making them that much tougher to stop.

No exercise tonite we are heading out to a Princeton Rays game.

The weather was kinda rough but we stuck out 6 full innings plus came home with a magnet season schedule (which is really why I wanted to go).

Finished up the day with a two hour does of American Ninja Warrior.

Apparently according to many friends on FB the world is coming to an end because of flooding caused by some rather severe rains the past 24 hours. It's not like those fuckers have never been flooded out before nor that folks have never seen it happen.

Just relax folks and get in a position to help if that is your bent.

UK voted to leave the European Union yesterday, being the first country to ever do it. Gloom and doom over the end of the UK now reigns on social media.

Walked 2 miles in just under 35 minutes. Which means I should be able to get it done in 1.5 to 2 hours.

It's funny to consider that the days are now getting shorter and that we are officially in summer.

Plan is to go to the Bluefield Blue Jays season opener to catch a game and get their magnet season schedule. I'm a sucker for giveaways.

Yet another Kickstarter arrived to day. I dig do that and then just getting stuff in the mail.

Good dinner especially considering the options locally.

My LCS failed to pull a book on my pull list prior to selling out. You know honestly that is one of the best reasons to just go with DCBS. If they have to be reordered why not just order them from a supplier to begin with and cut out the middle man.

Lucha Underground was good. The female tag team match between teams that had ladies that had beef's with each other was the coolest.

Sunday morning.

Some solid adult time, yeah baby!

Plans today are to go bin diving.

Amelia's is the coolest place Chef Teri and I have been to, to date.

Bin diving was tough. What we have left is hard to find and expensive when found which we knew was where we were getting to but still. We did manage to snag 8-10 books for decent prices. Silver Age books do not come cheaply. Now all we have left are a handful of the Journey into Mystery Thor books between 84 and 112. Pricey.

We met up with and chatted with Darrin and Ruth Sutherland. Cool folks that we have met through podcasting.

Dinning was ok. Better than home but not the quality that Amelia's has been but then nothing will be so.

Home, unpacked, chillin till bedtime. Looking forward to our own bed. I guess I have grown into one of  those old folks that sleeps better at home than on the road.

Day two,sure to be the busiest day of the con it's Saturday.

Breakfast again at Amelia's. Oh we'll be there tomorrow as well.

They let us in early with a three day badge. Well just early enough so that we had just hit the floor when the announce they had opened for everyone. More bull shitty treatment for the folks that paid the most.

Finished up perusing all the artists, creator, print booths. Except for those handful that had high named talent the caused insane lines of people wanting to get stuff signed. For the recordChef Teri and I get every book signed we buy and if the creator/s are not at the booth when we are we come back to purchase when they are to get signatures.

Back to the room for a rest (and nap by the Chef). Taking stock of our booty we have probably 50-60 single issues and trades to read plus a hardcover and two novels.

My Father's Day loot was a kickass Dr Who throw pillow, a Lumberjanes To the Max hardcover volume and my first piece of original art, a Vampiro/Pentagon Jr splash page from the 3rd issue of the Lucha Underground mini.

Dinner was a cool place called Bella Fresco Cafe.Nice place good food, killer desserts.

Chillin at the room and bedtime.

Heroescon.

Friday was an easy trip with a cool breakfast at a first time place for us Amelia's.

Waited until 10 to get in even though we had 3 day passes. Met a really abrasive guy I wanted to throat punch.

First up was a beeline to Margurite Bennet's and Afriela Kristantina's booths, side by side to get my copies of InSexts signed.

We then spent the next 5 hours eyeballing all the smaller press, indie artists and indie isle booths.

No lunch so we went to Food Truck Friday for dinner. Nice food, rained a little bit but not too bad. Not the best place for the people for food trucks, no place to sit really but we found something nearby.

Chilled at the hotel until sleeps.

Nice day outside, which of course means it's a weekday and I will spend 8-10 hours of it inside at a computer.

On a daily, weekly, monthly basis I spend more time doing things I don't like or don't want to do and at 48 yoa I believe it's starting to have an effect on my disposition. (sarcasm)

It's really hard for me to enjoy this current generation of Marvel and DC fanfic, that's all it is. The true creation is occurring on creator owned products for other companies.

Pens lost, series moves back to San Jose. I fear the Pens are showing they are going to lose the series.

I had a revelation in the shower this morning.

Life is not really a journey. Rather it is the near endless treading of a single path that ultimately gets etched so deeply into the rock of eternity that when you have the chance to change you path you have nowhere to go and so must continue the walk or just quit walking. Starting, late, to pick up birthdays presents for Chef Teri. She has been lacking in hinting since Christmas, I have far fewer possibilities than in previous years. Ordering needs to be done over the next couple weeks or so to insure delivery in time.

Try to figure out what to collect next during con visits is not going well. Not sure, needs to be something present...X_men maybe?

Slept in today to hopefully make up for the soul drain driving in the monsoons were yesterday.

Gonna start in on our new comics from Tricon yesterday.

Caught up on Lip Sync Battle, Orphan Black, Outlander, Outcast and Cleverman.

Up way to early this morning but it's ok because we are prepping for a day out.

Easy trip to Huntington, much faster than we planned. Hmmm wonder how that happens.

Smooth entry into con, Tricon year 5 that is.

We worked our way halfway through and decided to drop stuff off on the car and then grab some lunch at perhaps our new favorite Huntington spot. Bodega. Walking back to the convention we were going to stop by an Oriental Rug store but instead became side tracked by a bakery offering sweets. The sweets won.

Finished up the second half of the convention. Overall we grabbed 8-10 total prints, a handful of Thorbooks and a boat load of ultra small press comics and trades. I'll probably read those and drop a most on Miscatonical Musing about my thoughts.

Dinner was an absolute bust. The food wasn't bad just entirely uninspiring. Dessert on the other had, milkshakes from the Midway Drive In rocked the house.

Mutha Ficking! Typhoon fucking season several times on the drive home. Sumbitch it sucked!

Home in time to watch the Pens not win their game but sleep won out before a game resolution.

Physical therapy today. Only two more sessions left afterwards.

It's interesting listening to pro-fem/feminists talk about characters they love as their level of uber biased nuthuggery is as high or higher than only amount exhibited by fanboys whom are relentlessly made fun of by the afore mention politicos. Of course if one were to point that out you instantly are attacked as part of the overall problem. Disagreement equals hate in our horridly skewed sociology of today.

Working out exactly what books to read to keep myself entertained but also make the podcast interesting for folks, LoO. I think the golden ages tales are more popular than the others.

I really want to read the DC Rebirth books this weekend. Maybe that will start an interest in DC books for me. Working on Adventure/Action LoSH stories now.

I'm really getting bored with non WASP cis-het males all bitching about some thing or another. It seems every fuckin human sociological descriptor is downtrodden and pissed about something. Everybody is bitchin, including me! Boring. One drowns out the next and so I pay attention to none.

Chef Teri outdid herself tonite with a new spicy soup recipe.

Comic book day.

No gym.

Decided to put 4 podcasts on hiatus today. I hope that will help me keep up with the other three. Two with Chef Teri and a solo. We'll see producing the shows really takes the thuse outta me.

Kinda feels good to not have to worry about the above podcasts for a while.

So tired of pussies trying to explain how hard it is for them to read manga. It's not fuckin rocket science. Right to left, top to bottom. I would put more stock in someone not liking the story than the mechanics.

No DC Reborth 1 is not new reader friendly. Fuck new readers let them catch up like we all had to at some point. It was intended to smooth things over with the older readers that have been continuity fucked by DC. That was the whole damn point to acknowledge the entire legacy. I'm so tired of here people bitch and whine about how hard it is for a new reader to start somewhere. We all were new readers at some point. Some of us just had more gumption to learn what we did not know, which is hella easier than it once was, than the average fucking pussy that wants everything handed to them today. Quit your bitchin and jump in or don't but quit tryin to represent the damn fence because that is the least defensible position you could ever take.

I think I have fallen into a trap of doing what I think I should be doing on the podcasts rather than doing what I enjoy doing. I need to put a little tie into figuring out how to make it fun again.
