Three hundred nine

Almost 10 o'clock before breakfast this morning. Nice being able to sleep late.

Steelers secondary sucked and cost them the game, no where near as close as the score. Late game soft defense allowed scores that really didn't matter.

Time to record Marvel Bronze Age ciao.

Three hundred eight

Saturday with the youngun.

Sorting through my new prose grabs and I think I may be interested in the Cozy Mystery genre, time will tell.

WVU is having the pretty standard no D game, sucks to watch. They won but it was difficult. I wish they would get rid of Dana like I want the Pens to ditch Fleury.

Chicken tortilla soup for dinner, yummy.

Three hundred seven

Back to work for a day mainly to get all the packages waiting for me

Turns out there were 7, everything I had ordered and was waiting for all in great shape.

So getting a little push-back about whining on FB about always seeing the same geek news hundreds of times every time something happens. Trying really hard not to snark about it.

Three hundred six

Back to catching up on Resurrection. Dude is riding the drama llama.

Season 1 was scifi season 2 is soap opera drama.

Dinner at the in-laws and now back recording Dance Fevre.

I think I'm gonna knock out some cozy mystery prose tonite and this weekend see what it's like. I can't say that I've ever read in that genre.

Elementary now, I like that show but not the new direction.

Ripper Street for our viewing pleasure.

Three hundred five

Chef Teri took an siq day so I did as well.

After catching up on all the latest NHL games (let me say how disappointing it is to find out that there are virtually no sites online from which one can download NHL games) we proceded to catch up on Forever.

Now while my siq Mrs naps I have switched to UFC Fight Night 51 trying to catch up with the years shows. They have 45 planned for next year.

Caught up on Forever and pizza. Now watching Resurrection.

Pens vs Maple Leafs. Pens win and caught up on all the years Marvel comics. They have so many killer properties that are just being misused and abused by the current crop of writers. So many books just totally suck ass.

Three hundred four

Lazy morning and then a quarterly trip to the Dr.

Now catching up on more Marvel comics while UFC PPV's are playing in the background.

Trying to stay with Dancing with the Stars while they hold me hostage for the first hour. I hate it!

Three hundred three

Nice breakfast burrito this morning.

While Chef Teri is getting the oil changed in the car I am doing some of the many busy things I seem to fall into.

I downloaded all of this week's BOOM! press kits and preview PDF's. I also upload all the current weeks covers to a Pinterest board.

Now reading of the adventures of Anja Creed while Invicta 8 is on the tube. And 9. And UFC 179.

Yummo chicken barley soup for lunch today. Chef Teri is the bestest cook ever.

Catching up on some recent Marvel comics.

Now time for Dancing with the Stars.

Three hundred one

Tudor's and College Gameday for the laid back win.

Now we are catching up on The Strain.

I am trying to catch up on the little projects I keep tasking myself with at the same time as the above.

I'm a little disappointed that The Strain descended into the massive monsters must be fended off and the group survive trope. I thought it had a more cerebral potential.

The longer this season of The Strain goes the more disappointed I get in the writing.

Omlette spot for dinner. Not haute cuisine but works non the less.

The Strain kind of petered out the longer the season ran...not so sure about loosing time to  a second season.

Now catching up on Z Nation which is way cooler because it seems to take itself way less seriously then TS or TWD.

Pens game interrupts our regularly scheduled non pens time.

Three hundred

On and off sleep. New place new sounds but ok overall.

Lots of walking around at the Southern Christmas Show.

One of the first booths we stopped out had some of the coolest pottery Chef Teri and I had seen. We ended up purchasing some but for me that wasn't remotely important. After choosing what we wanted we paid and told the gentleman, whom we now know is Gregory Warren, to keep the change which amounted to less then three dollars. What happened then impacted me in such a profound way and I don't believe I can really explain to anyone else why. Mr Warren was so surprised and touched by our generosity that in that moment I saw for just an instant the kinda of genuine gentleness and kindness that is missing from humanity as a whole. I'm not sure anyone else can even understand I however was moved at that point to the extent after leaving his booth I had to stop and clear my eyes of the tears that had come unbidden and filled my eyes to the point I couldn't see to walk around. Just a couple minutes later it was as if nothing had happened. Chef Teri was there with me and I'm not even sure she fully understood what had happened or why, I'm not even fully sure myself. Either way I need to thank Mr Warren and thank God for putting me in that situation and allowing me the opportunity to experience something that touched me that deeply that quickly.

After the show we searched and decided on Bosnian as the cuisine for dinner. It was excellent and well worth the effort.

Man it was good to be home and after a Pens game to catch our breath we hit the sack in our own bed.

Two hundred ninety nine

Lazy morning. Then an easy 3 hour trip to Charlotte.

We had dinner at the Marroitt because we were already there and it was just minutes walk from the arena.

The concert was the coolest, wierdest concert I have been too. Lots of hair and laser lights with smoke and flame enough to make any 80's-90's hair metal fan happy.

A couple of the songs hit me rather melancholy because of my current feelings about Mike and Nick but not depressingly so.

Got back to the room in time to here our neighbors finish off there rutting session. It almost made the alpha in me throw Chef Teri down and mark my territory but I did not take up the challenge.

Comic book day!

So far my Midtown order, DCB Service order and 3 of 4 Amazon orders have shipped. Excellent shipping news day. The Amazons are Christmas presents for Chef Teri.

Sitting down to record this week's Dance Fevre and after next week only one show to  keep up with until Janurary rather then two per week for Dance Fevre.

Caught up on Walking Dead and watching UFC 178 now lots to catch up there, hopefully we can.

Two hundred ninety seven.

Very profound and deep thinking day at work as far as my social media posts were. Not really sure why.

Now to finish up watching this week's Strictly and perhaps record Dance Fevre 159. Then Pens and some comic book blog posting feels in order.

Nope not enough time to get the recording in before the Pens. Oh well we'll get it tomorrow night.

Two hundred ninety six

UGH!!! Stayed up till past midnight last night and this morning is sucking ass so far.

Some thoughts about what I want to do for TEAL Productions next year so I guess I'll start me goals list for 2015 today.

I had a question answered on a hockey podcast, I'm in!

Listening to the first three episodes of the Constantine Afterbuzz show and I realize how much I'm really diggin the show. Maybe I should pull out the source and read the comics. Add to my 2015 todo list.

It's been fun to watch our youngest son's journey to college so far. Excited to see what he finally picks and hope that he is more successful at it then his brother has been.

Prolly watch Strictly Come Dancing tonite before Dancing with the Stars.

I need to edit and post MBA too...outta town Thur and Fri.

Watched most of the Strictly and Dancing with.

Man dinner was slammin. Chef Teri never ceases to amaze my taste buds.

Two hundred ninety five

Recorded 3 podcasts and produced 6. Feels good to get some podcasting done.

No football today nor hockey.

Slow lazy Sunday.

Two hundred ninety four

Football has gotten boring today for some reason. Trying to finish a novel and that has me bored as well.

Perhaps recording a podcast will interest me, lets see.

Recorded 4 Ronin Rabbit's today.

Excellent steak fajita dinner with Nick and Chef Teri.

MMA to finish the evening.

Two hundred ninety three

The high point of work today was turning in the papers that will end up giving me six consecutive days off from work and nine of eleven total to end the month.

Man trying to talk to my Dad over the phone about computer stuff is, I believe, the most futile thing I have ever attempted in my entire life.

Walking Dead consumed now time fro Pens vs Maple Leafs.

Two hundred ninety two

Hooked Chef Teri and I up with an almost 800 song Glen Miller playlist on Spotify.

I'm feeling and mma watching binge coming on.

Got my Ello invite today. Setting things up and wondering why.

Watched UFC 177 and edited/posted two podcasts.

Excellent beef burrito from Chef Teri!

Two hundred ninety one

I miss the older days of CGS...Brian, Peter, Jamie and whomever else was free.

I miss the comics I grew up with in the 80's

I miss the comics I read while defining myself in the 90's.

I miss the Big Band era of music.

I miss watching two little boys discover things and grow up.

I miss being a carefree college student.

I miss Belize.

I'm discomfortable with how the Dancing with the Stars group on Afterbuzz will laud and applaud Tommy Chong for his journey on the show at 76 years of age but will put down Leah Thompson's journey at age 53. They don't seem to realize Tommy is doing better only in their minds because they have lower expectations for him then they did Leah coming into the show.

If Tommy wins this I may swear off the show completely as it will have become nothing more then a Junior High popularity contest and has nothing to do with the talent or journey of the star. Very sad.

Fox on the other hand is contemplating cancelling a true competition show in SO You Think You Can Dance. Just no accounting for taste in TV shows by the viewing public. Lowest common denominator at its most extreme.

I think Whitney this week proved that she has been the best choreographer this season.

Recorded Dance Fevre (now two shows in the can to edit).

Watched the Pens game from last night. BOOO!!!

Wednesday, November 12, 2014

Two hundred ninety

Blah day at work but it picked up after.

Chef Teri and I went to Richlands, Va to catch the Glenn Miller Orchestra.

Pretty pissed that when trying to locate Richlands Middle school, as Google had directed us to an old site, it was not in Richlands at all even though Richlands is an actual town but rather in Cedar Bluff which is a neighboring town.

Sick and tired of the sorry ass small minded hillbilly mentality that is omnipresent around here. Small town living is an insult to intelligence and it's no wonder gap teeth and inbreeding is how outsiders view these people. I live here and have lived here most of my life and I would have to add meth heads and those stereotypes are pretty damn accurate.

Glad to be in my cave away from all those people. Excellent concert and even better datenight.

Two hundred eighty nine

I was looking at where I was in a game called Pearl's Peril that Chef Teri and I play on FB. I realized we started playing together and used to really dig helping each other on the puzzles. I am now 5-6 levels ahead of her simply because...I don't even know. So far ahead in fact that I can't help her with her level's puzzles because they have been too long ago and she can't help with mine because she doesn't know them. What started out as a together sharing thing is not any longer and I feel responsible for that. Kinda a low level dick move. I decided this morning that I am going to stop playing my game and only help Chef Teri with hers until she catches up to where I am and we can play together again like we were doing and enjoying very much.

I'm sorry I left you behind baby but I will help like I used to. My bad.(sniff)

Excellent dinner tonite from Chef Teri...some kind of stir fried chicken and veggies. Yummo.

Strictly Come Dancing on the tele.

Dancing with the Stars to finish up. Tommy Chong needs to go home rather then Leah...that's bullshit.

Two hundred eighty eight

Doughnuts and coffee for breakfast, yumm-o.

Got Mighty Thorcast 109 in the can now to motivate to edit and post the thing.

Got reservations for our short stay in Charlotte to her the Trans Siberian Orchestra and attend the Southern Christmas Show.

Man this weekend of football from both WVU and the Steelers has me not in the mood to watch anymore this season. It makes me uber pissy and I don't like being in that frame of mind.

Read half of the 5th Rogue Angel novel. Probably the most interesting since the first one.

Saturday, November 8, 2014

Two hundred eighty seven

Up and out before 10am this morning, that's unusual for a Saturday.

Trip for our non anglo food and food stuffs. Cabo Fish taco for lunch and back home in time to catch WVU football.

So WVU is sacking serious donkey on to the Pens.

Pens won with Sid getting 5 points, nice being a Pens fan. It's easy.

Two hundred eighty six

Wow got a melancholy streak from hell going this morning. Can't seem to get out of my head long enough to get into something that will get me out of my head.

I wonder if it's Manhattan Transfer that put me there?

I wonder how long it would take to follow the Ohio River from Huntington to Chester? That would be a pretty cool trip I think. Probably 6-8 hours. I know not everything would be the best roads but I bet you could almost always stay within sight of the river the entire way. Hmmmm.

Nice finish to the evening...a new Italian restaurant for dinner and then 80's music until 2100. Then Grimm and Constantine till bed.

Friday, November 7, 2014

Two hundred eighty five

Lots of political bullshit in the air right now.

It's funny to watch/see/listen as the sheep drop the sound bytes/file footage they have been programmed to spill when certain topics come up.

My current beef is all the people that bitch about how the US constitution calls for a separation of church and state, which in fact it doesn't. Rather then just stating they are not Christian and do not hold to christian ideals, which is actually the case. Sack up and explain what your problem really is rather then use some overly trodden 'label' to speak for you.

Nick, cassidilla burgers and a killer Pens game all make Thursday a win.

Thursday, November 6, 2014

Two hundred eighty four

Chinese was decent. It's been a while since we've been to this particular restaurant, always pretty consistent.

Throw back to the time we chilled after Chef Teri's shoulder surgery by watching home improvement shows all evening.

Tuesday, November 4, 2014

Two hundred eighty three

Listening to Sawyer Brown this morning trying to remember what it felt like to be 16 years old. High school, too smart, marching band, cool group of friends...life was good. I didn't have the problems that have cause so many others to block memories from that time. Don't get me wrong many, many things and places I don't want to revisit but far more good then bad.

Recorded Dance Fevre 157. Posted.

Watching the Pens who finally scored right before the end of the first period.

Jeremy Dale died today and I will miss his book Skyward.

Two hundred eighty two

Excited to be back to work this crisp November Monday morning...nope not even remotely.

Today is Godzilla's 60th anniversary.

Lots of dance watching tonite.

Killer turkey meatball wrap dinner from Chef Teri.

Sunday, November 2, 2014

Two hundred eighty one

Watching Jack Ryan this morning trying to get over the shittiest night I have had in a long time.

Now time for some Gameday Morning. Steelers on this afternoon.

Steelers not looking good highlighted by allowing three consecutive sacks of Big Ben. Pathetic.

Fumble, return. Then three defensive penalties on the same play. Touchdown. Yes!!!

Two hundred eighty

Set out to watch College Gameday this morning but 15-20 minutes into it the satellite went out. Nick provided a log in for ESPN3 and with that, a laptop and an HDMI cable Gamdeday is back on the air.

Slowly working those hobby things of my to do  list lately. Feels good.

I am loosing my fucking mind watching the Mountaineers play. I could never have been a head coach.

Let's hope the Pens don't screw their fans like WVU just did.

Yay Pens! Fleury with another shutout.
